Last August, Nadia Moroccan Cuisine showcased her culinary talents for a Charity Art Exhibition organised by the Moroccan Children’s Trust. The event took place on the 29th of August at the East Gallery (Brixton) and proved to be a great success!
The Moroccan Children’s Trust is a UK registered charity which works with street-connectedchildren in Taroudannt, a city of 70,000 habitants in Southern Morocco.
The exhibition aims to look at the concept of ‘Home’. It was entitled “Home Street Home” – a name also used for the International Day for Street Children 2013 organised by the Consortium for Street Children. MCT put together a Charity Art Exhibition that combined works from moroccan and english artists, involving different kinds of artistic contributions: from photography installations, paintings to videos.
Children from MCT’s Centre in Morocco also participated with cute drawings. Nadia, however, brought the flavour and colour of Morocco to the guests’ plates! They all enjoyed the food. Furthermore, it was for a GREAT cause.
